The UBC Killam Postdoctoral Research Fellowships are provided annually from the Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Fund for Advanced Studies and are available for most fields of research. The number of awards offered presently varies between three and five per year.
Value: Annual stipend of $50,000 for a maximum of two years plus a travel and research allowance of $4,000 over two years.

UBC Vancouver (UBC-V)
- RHSC internal application deadline for receipt of applications: October 21, 2022 at 12pm (noon) PT
- Each department or unit at the Vancouver campus may forward one nominee to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies by November 10, 2022 at 4:00 pm PT.

UBC Okanagan (UBC-O)
- UBC-O will require potential Killam applicants to submit the Killam Doctoral Research Fellowship NOI Form by Wednesday, September 7, 2022 12:00 p.m. (noon). The NOI should include applicant information, supervisor’s information, project title, a brief summary of the program of research and an up-to-date curriculum vitae.
- Full applications, including all attachments, are due from applicants to UBC-O’s College of Graduate Studies (COGS) by October 17, 2022 at 12:00 pm (noon). COGS will then convene a Standing Review Committee to review the applications received and select the finalists.
- COGS submits UBC-O’s nominations (maximum four nominations) to UBC-Vancouver’s Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies by November 10, 2022 at 4:00 pm PT. Rather than using UBC SharePoint, a Qualtrics survey link is provided in the nomination form and nomination guide for nomination submission.
