Congratulations to Laura Nimmon, RHSC supervisor and OSOT Associate Professor, on receiving the Excellence in Education award as part of UBC’s Faculty of Medicine’s Distinguished Achievement Awards 2026. - Dr. Kristin Campbell Interviewed on Japan’s “Intellectual Frontier: Tamori & Shinya Yamanaka’s !?
As part of a special episode entitled “The Key to Overcoming Cancer” Dr. Campbell discussed the CHALLENGE Trial (2025), the first randomized controlled trial of its kind in the world to demonstrate that a sustained increase in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity significantly improves survival outcomes for colon cancer survivors and had a reduced risk of cancer recurrence compared to health education alone.

October 15, 2026 is the final deadline for submitting applications for domestic applicants to begin our MSc and PhD programs in January 2027 . International applicants should apply by June 15 for a January program start, or by January 15 for a September program start to allow time to obtain study permits.
