Canadian Student Health Research Forum (CSHRF) Travel Award | June 2022

The 2022 Canadian Student Health Research Forum (CSHRF) will take place during the week of June 13 – 17 (TBA if virtual or in-person).  This forum is a valuable opportunity for health research trainees in all fields at the doctoral level (PhD and MD/PhD) from across Canada to present their work, to network and to be recognized for the excellence of their contributions. The forum will feature a judged oral (research poster) presentation, awards of excellence and opportunities for students to network around their research posters.  A notable highlight will be the participation of Gairdner laureates, both as symposium speakers and for small group mentorship interactions with student participants.

CSHRF is extending an invitation to all Canadian faculties offering graduate programs in the health sciences to nominate their top (5%) currently-enrolled PhD students to participate in this event.

CSHRF has secured support and resources to provide students who attend with complimentary registration to the Forum. Registration includes the (judged) oral poster presentation, National awards of excellence, access to the Career Development Workshop, Gairdner Symposium and small-group Gairdner mentorship sessions as well as the opportunity for students to network virtually.

Eligibility:

Graduate programs are requested to identify the students who would qualify for participation in the CSHRF conference (i.e., the top 5% of their PhD students and whose research would be considered health research). Please submit your nominations using the link below by March 15, 2022.  Your graduate program’s nominees must also complete their registration (link below) by March 15, 2022.
