Tell us a little bit about your lab and research interests!
I am a MSc student in the Aging, Mobility, and Cognitive Health Lab, directed by Dr. Teresa Liu-Ambrose. The lab explores how exercise training and physical activity improve the physical and cognitive health, and quality of life of older adults. The lab is filled with supportive students and staff — I am grateful to be part of Dr. Liu-Ambrose’s team.
What project are you currently working on?
My project is a secondary analysis that explores how exercise and cognitive enrichment affect executive functions, specifically response inhibition, in older adults with chronic stroke. Additionally, I conduct physical and cognitive assessments for ongoing lab studies, which have been a great learning experience.
What do you like to do outside of academia?
Outside of the lab, you can find me doing some form of physical activity, such as late-night walks, going to the gym, or playing a sport. I also volunteer at the Crisis Centre whenever I have time.
