Tell us a little bit about your lab!
I am part of the CEDAR (Collaborative Evidence: Developing Awareness and Research) Brain Injury Lab based at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre and supervised by Dr Julia Schmidt. Our lab collaborates with people with brain injuries, community associations, healthcare providers, and policymakers to understand the experiences of people with brain injury.

What project are you currently working on?
My doctoral work focuses on exploring the public perception of traumatic brain injury. I also aim to gain a deeper understanding of how sense of self can be altered after a brain injury by collaborating with individuals with brain injuries and key stakeholder groups. Effectively disseminating knowledge is an important part of research for me, and I plan to use a creative lens to translate my research findings!
What do you like to do outside of academia?
I love to travel, read, chill with my cats, and explore the activities Vancouver has to offer!
Congratulations, Rinni, on being our featured Student of the Month for July!
