Tell us a little bit about your lab!
At the ICORD building, I am working alongside Mona Alkhudair to investigate the application of 3D printing technology in occupational therapy. Our research is centered on developing personalized therapeutic tools through 3D printing, tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. This project aims to enhance both the efficacy and personalization of treatment approaches within the field of occupational therapy.
What project are you currently working on?
After finishing my comprehensive exam, I am now working on writing my thesis proposal. The core of my thesis revolves around creating an educational program specifically for occupational therapists. This program will equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to use 3D printing technology in their practice. The primary aim is to enable occupational therapists to design and fabricate custom 3D printed splints.
What do you like to do outside of academia?
As a portrait photographer, I often spend my free time planning and setting up new photo shoots. I prefer outdoor locations, which leads me to explore different parts of the city in search of perfect spots for my photography. Since last summer, I’ve also taken up tennis, and I’ve found great enjoyment in playing a few games with friends.
